With my composition students after their graduation concert 🙂
During their study they all have had quite tough times with difficult situation..for instance because of the continuous illness from unknown reason, both side of parents’ endless sickness, complicated family issues and serious doubt of talent of themselves as a composer.
To see their struggling reminded me my old despair, and because I DO know what it is and how dangerous it could be in human life, to doubt and deny oneself, I did my best to help them encouraging not to be deceived by their own fear but just to focus on themselves.
Although it was never easy to overcome the “fear”, they finally conquered it and showed their own music on the stage with full confidence. And, it was SUPER NICE!!
I am so proud of you girls, not only because of your achievement but also because of your growth and amazing breakthrough as a human.♡
So, now it’s time to finish making your albums.

지난 주 목요일,
웨스트브릿지 라이브홀에서 있었던
수원여대 실용음악과 졸업공연.
나랑 만나 온 전공학생 4명이
모두 무대에 섰다.
지난 2년간 이들은 모두
감당하기 어려운 시간을 지나야 했는데
누군가는 원인을 알 수 없는 병으로 아팠고,
누군가는 가족의 문제로 씨름했으며,
누군가는 부모님이 번갈아가며 아프셨고,
누군가는 본인의 재능을 경멸하고 있었던 것.
이들은 모두 자신을 둘러싼 상황 속에서
창작자로서의 본인이 지닌 가능성을 의심하며
끊임없이 절망했고,
나는 그게 너무.. 옛날의 나를 보는 듯 해서ㅜㅠ
열심을 내어 힘껏 도왔다.
그렇게 어느 순간 싹이 트기만을 기다리며
그들의 씨앗을 품은 땅이 마르지 않게 하려고
여기저기서 물 퍼다 나르기 바빴던 것 같은데..
그래서 결론은,, 대성공..! ^^李
요 귀여운 아가씨들은
결국 자기만의 두려움을 극복하고
열심히 열심히 준비해서
본인의 자작곡을 무대에서 선보였는데,
각 무대는
어디 내놔도 부끄럽지 않을 수준이었다.
