8 days ago, some pictures from the practice room of Joon Lee, one of my trustful colleagues.
There we discussed the structure of the song which will be released through my album for Easter, and I was so impressed again to see how humble he is as a drummer. I mean, I’ve never seen him try to show off his talent when he plays the drums. Rather, he ALWAYS has focused on making music sound better through his playing. How artistic he is! We know that there are SO many musicians who just want to show themselves nicely to their audience, and they sometimes even lose the music and only leave conceit on the stage so we can’t find any artistic action from them… but he’s not, and I think that’s why I feel pleasant when I meet him; for I always can be inspired and learn a lot from his attitude.
Thanks Joon, I hope that I will be able to help you someday, just like what you have done for me.

이번 부활절 앨범의 다른 곡 연주를 부탁드린
드럼 장인 #이준 선생을 뵙고 옴. 😉
나는,
겸손하기 짝이 없는 이 양반이랑
알고 지낸다는 사실이 너~무 좋다. 힛
음악 속에서
연주자로서의 자신을 드러내려 하기보다는,
본인의 악기소리를 통해
‘음악 자체’ 를 멋지게 만들기 위해 몰두하는 건
11년전이나 지금이나
어찌 그리도 한결 같으신지.
특히나
드럼이라는 악기 특성상
그런 태도를 견지하는 건
정말 쉽지 않은 일인데 말이죠 –
(어쩌면 그런 부분이 바로
작곡가들이 유독
이 분의 드러밍을 사랑하는 이유일지도?)
그래서일까, 언젠가부터 나도 모르게
내가 쓴 노래에 오빠가 편곡방향을 제안하면
도무지 흘려들을 수가 없어
매우 고심하는 것을 발견함. ㅎㅎ
여전히 많이 배워요 오라버니,
같이 작업할 때면 언제나
오라방 자신보다 제 곡을 빛나게 하려고
여러모로 고민하고 맘 써주시는 거
너무 잘 알아요.
심지어
이번에도 제 맘에 쏙 들었어요..ㅜㅠ♡
