Background
Sarang was raised in Christian family. Her father was volunteering as a conductor of small choir at small church in countryside of Korea, and her grandmother was a big fan of classical vocal music. She loved singing and sometimes asked Sarang to accompany her singing on the piano when she was practicing the classical piece composed by Schubert or Bach. Therefore it was very natural for Sarang to learn music through the Hymns and Classical music, when she was child, and it became her fundamental language in her music. And when she was 4 & half yeas old , she told her mother “I’d like to learn how to play the piano”, and that decision has brought her to this day.
Teenage
Sarang started accompanying with piano during service in her church when she was 10, and that brought her to the world of the ‘chords’. Since then she has fallen in love with pop songs and loved playing the piano, trying to arrange some piano scores according to her musical idea and play it.
On the other hands, she has been interested with writing essay and loved keeping diary describing her emotion, trying to find the most suitable words to express her thoughts in her own language. This has led her to write all the lyrics of her songs by herself.
At the age of 15, she decided to stop studying classical piano and then she entered University in Seoul to study Law and Psychology.
