Preparing a release of my new song for Christmas!

Had a rehearsal with the gospel band ‘Clay Brown’ for my Christmas song! I was a keyboard player of this band quite a long time ago, and the friendship is still between us. 

Recently they asked me to write a Christmas song for their single album and I said yes with great pleasure. Writing process was completed last month, and after the scheduling we met yesterday for the first rehearsal of the song.

During the rehearsal the song was played very nicely by these talented musicians, and after adding some ideas it sounded just FANTASTIC!! 🙂

 We guess that the song will be released in mid of November, and you will feel a jazzy mood from the song and be embarrassed by the unique lyrics. (I can say confidently that the lyrics will be REALLY UNIQUE, if you expect a “Christmas” song… haha!)

저의 애틋한 친정팀, 가스벨밴드 #클레이브라운 이 올해 크리스마스 싱글앨범을 위한 작곡을 의뢰(?)해 주셨어요.
제겐 더할나위 없이 영광스러운 일이라, 흔쾌히 오케이 했지요.

사진은 어제 있었던 첫번째 합주의 기록이랍니다. 보통은 그냥 원년멤버로서의 친정팀 방문이 주 목적이었는데 이번엔 이들의 앨범을 위해 곡을 쓴 작곡가 입장이라 너무나 기분이 묘하고, 또 새롭더라구요. 아이디어가 오가고, 서로 조율하는 과정도 참 좋았구요.
게다가 처음에 예상한 것과는 사뭇 다른 결로 연주되었는데, 심지어 더 좋은거 있죠?! ㅜㅠ ❤️

기회를 주셔서 감사해요, 기쁜 마음으로 저도 최선을 다했어요. 매번 곡이 발표될때마다 제가 쓴 가사까지 꼭 읽어보고 참 좋더라고 얘기해 주는 그 따뜻한 마음도, 가사에 온 힘을 쏟는 제게는 얼마나 고맙고 힘이 되는지 🙂

이번곡은 11월 중순 즈음 발표될 예정이라고 해요. 재즈풍의 가사가 꽤 독특한ㅎㅎ 크리스마스송, 모쪼록 잘 부탁드립니다 –
